Interreg Central Baltic project NatureBizz confirmed

During the Interreg Central Baltic secretariat commission meeting on 30th November 2017, project approvals took place. Out of 92 projects, 32 have been confirmed, including NatureBizz - Business and Wellness from Green Economy Growth, in which Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences is one of the four project partners.

The Baltic sea region has a huge potential to become one of the leading regions in the world, where green economy is highly developed. Unfortunately, at the moment SMEs that operate in the sector don't possess enough skills to increase their turnover and provide a vast product and service offering.

NatureBizz goal is to improve the skills of business owners in order to improve competitives of the green economy. During this project, in collaboration with Satakunta University of Applied SciencesUniversity of Tartu Pärnu College and Södertörn University, market research and analysis will be carried out. As a result of project findings, an interdisciplinary education programme  will be developed and launched, providing 20 ECTS. The project will begin in March 2018 and will take 32 months to complete.
