Pending licensing, the study programme will be launched in Autumn 2018 at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.
This master’s programme will draw on an interdisciplinary approach. It will combine knowledge and approaches from media and communication, behavioural sciences, history, sociology, cultural studies and management fields in order to teach students how to develop, implement, and analyse diverse communication strategies. Such expertise would add great value to specialists in information-intensive public and private sector jobs.
The study process will feature a combination of face-to-face sessions, online activities and engagement via an online learning platform, as
well as group exercises, case study analyses, experiential learning sessions and simulations related to solving real-life communication
problems. During the studies students will acquire a sharpened strategic mindset and become prepared to work successfully as communication
leaders and other strategic counselling to any organisation that operates in highly turbulent and rapidly changing contemporary environment.
