ViA research afternoon (online)

The first research afternoon of the 2025/2026 academic year will hold on November 11 at 14:00-16:00 online. Similar to the previous academic year, this year's research afternoons are planned on the second Tuesday of each month at 14:00. The access link can be found below this email or in a separate calendar invitation.

• 14:00-14:30 Roberts Volkovic "Methods and artificial intelligence solutions for anomaly detection and their possible applications in a modern work environment"
• 14:30-15:00 Māris Meļņikovs "Automated technologies for ensuring a safe work environment"
• 15:00-15:40 ViAZi Director Andris Klepers "ViAZi strategic priorities and budget for 2026"

The research afternoon will begin with presentations by two doctoral students and degree candidates, followed by a presentation and discussion led by the ViAZi Director on the institute’s priorities for 2026.
