CATALOGUE
The joint catalogue of the Library of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and Valmiera Library contains information about the collections at the Library of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Valmiera Library and 52 other Valmiera and the municipality public and educational institutions' libraries. The catalogue allows you to view your library user's account and to make a reservation of the books you want! Ask for the username and password in the Library!
The electronic catalogue consists of four parts:
Electronic catalogue of printed resources and other documents
Information about the collections at the Library of Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Valmiera Library and 52 other Valmiera and the municipality public and educational institutions' libraries.
ViA Student Work Database
The database contains the descriptions of the best projects, qualification papers, master’s and bachelor’s theses. Since 2013 full texts of the papers are also available, if the authors of the papers have given the permission.
ViA Teachers’ Work Database
In April 2016 the work on the database of ViA teacher’s work started. The database includes the analytical descriptions of the teaching staff publications (monographs, edited and compiled books, research, conference resources, etc.). If these publications are available on the Internet, links to their full texts are placed in the descriptions.
Local history database
The basic content consists of the analytical records of the newspaper "Liesma" (1998 - present).
Online reservation of books
In order to use this service, you must be a registered Valmiera Integrated Library user. You will receive the username and password in the library by showing the reader's card (eID card or ViA student ID).
By signing in the Valmiera Integrated Library joint catalogue with your username and password, you can:
- see what books you have borrowed and their terms of use,
- request an extension of the use,
- make a reservation of the necessary publication,
- if you have requested a highly-demanded publication, you can see the term for waiting in the queue.
Regulations:
- reservation request processing time - 72 hours,
- when making the reservation of books, 5 documents can be requested at the same time,
- the reserved publications must be received in the library within 3 working days from the moment of reservation confirmation.
- the loan period cannot be extended if there the book is overdue or if there is a queue for the publication.

Information about the library collections of the University Turiba, Daugavpils University, Latvian National Archives Library, The National Defense Academy of Latvia, Patent Technical Library, Saeima Library, Valmiera and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences Library, Ventspils Region Library.
