Did you know that improving your eating habits can meaningfully support your mental health? That's why over just 3 intense days in Innovation Co-creation laboratory, researchers, students, and key stakeholders co-created a prototype aimed at helping patients with depression break out of the debilitating loop that affects 332 million people worldwide.
Meet "MotivAte "— a concept designed for the Strenči Hospital outpatient clinic, with plans to expand to other patient groups, including individuals with Alzheimer’s and more.
The vision goes further:
- AR to visualize engaging educational materials
- XR for remote support groups
- Empathy-building tools for family members
These are just a few of the future possibilities already in sight.
Mentor of the team was ViA researcher and project LEAPXR member Linda Lancere.
We thank the Strenči Psychoneurological Hospital team, and especially Project Manager Ilona Rāviete, for their cooperation and support.
This work was made possible through the Innovation Co-Creation Laboratory, organised by the Vidzeme Open Innovation Centre as part of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme, within the E³UDRES² European University and LEAPXR projects, with support from the Valmiera municipality.
